Flavor and Texture

King Oyster mushrooms have a soft springy texture, almost identical to that of scallops. Strangely enough, it also has a flavor that is very similar to scallops as well!

Preparation

The entire stem and cap are edible. To prepare, cut the very end of the stem off and slice the whole mushroom into whatever shapes you like best. I like to cut them into scallop shapes, Saute in some butter and garlic for around 5 - 10 mins. And serve as an appetizer.
